Gerald Subaru of North Aurora is once again sponsoring our 'Plant the Dream' fundraiser for 2026! This year, we are trying to raise $5000 for supplies which will allow us to grow herbs and vegetables to donate to local food pantries, grow herb and vegetable plants to donate to other organizations that encourage community growing efforts and expand our educational programs for our community. 'PLANT THE DREAM' FUNDRAISING EVENT 2026
Charity Blooms is a 501c3 nonprofit grower located in Aurora, IL. We work with hundreds of volunteers every year to grow fresh vegetables for many local food pantries. We currently grow about 4000-5000 pounds of fresh vegetables, without the use of chemicals, every year.
I'm excited to announce that the amazing folks at Gerald Subaru of North Aurora are sponsoring our Plant the Dream fundraiser this year! The fundraising event will run from March 1st through March 31st. Donations can be made via the small yellow "Donate" button below. 100% of funds raised will go toward our growing efforts and educational programs.
Our focus for 2026 is community outreach. In addition to providing local food pantries with fresh herbs and vegetables, we are planning multiple outreach events to teach our friends and neighbors about healthy eating and growing your own food. We will do this by offering free classes and activities throughout the summer. We will also be introducing our new educational activity tables featuring fun for all ages. Each seat will have a unique activity such as a maze, word search or math problem with a farming theme. We will also be hosting PLANT BINGO on First Fridays throughout Aurora. 100% of funds raised will go toward dirt, seeds, pots and other tools needed to successfully plant our farm and toward material needed to host our educational programs.​​​
