40 bales of straw

Today we picked up an entire truck load of straw from a local farm. Straw is a necessary bedding for the chicken coop and makes a fantastic mulch for vegetable plants. It suppresses weeds and maintains moisture better than wood mulch. Straw is also a necessary component to our new venture into mushroom farming!
